2014叶明逸教育基金 13学子受惠
（民都鲁6日讯）2014年度叶明逸教育基金今日公布录取13名学生，目前其受惠学生人数共有39人。 叶明逸教育基金委员会于今日中午12时假贵宾大酒店，由主席丹斯里叶明逸、署理主席叶绍良、委员王振西、许政璋、秘书邱宝莹召开一项新闻发布会宣布以上消息。 委员许政璋向记者表示，丹斯里叶明逸是在1984年创立“叶明逸教育基金”，主要是为了协助并鼓励成绩优良家境贫困的学子继续深造。 设立30年 造福271人 “这项奖学金已经长达30年，已经发出271份奖学金，总奖学金超过250万令吉。” 今年申请该笔奖学金的学生共有35人，其中录取的有13人，加上继续接受奖学金的26位学生，正在接受资助的共有39位学生。 许政璋继续表示，委员会期望领奖学金者在毕业后，可在砂拉越服务至少3年。 “我们也非常感谢所有的申请者，并恭贺荣获奖学金的学生。” 根据了解，此项教育奖励金是主席丹斯里叶明逸70岁生日时所创办，据他表示，此意愿是因为他本身书读得不多，所以希望能够藉此帮助社会上成绩优异的贫困学生升学。 （感谢《联合日报》提供资讯）
